Ian Faulconbridge

Ian Faulconbridge is an experienced engineering and governance professional with more than 35 years of experience working across defence, aerospace, university and multidisciplinary technical environments. His work has included systems engineering, project management, organisational improvement, mentoring, professional education and independent advisory activities associated with complex technical and organisational challenges.

Ian holds bachelor, master and doctoral qualifications in engineering, together with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Environmental Management. Completed alongside a full-time professional career, these qualifications reflect a longstanding commitment to continuous learning, practical problem solving and the application of engineering thinking across multiple disciplines.

His professional and technical interests include systems engineering, governance, applied project management, remote sensing, sustainability, environmental management and the broader application of systems thinking to complex organisational and environmental challenges.

Ian is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and is listed on the National Engineering Register (NER) with Engineers Australia. He also holds professional engineering registrations in Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.

Whilst based in Australia, Ian has worked with organisations, technical teams and professional education programs across New Zealand, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States, contributing to a broad perspective on engineering practice, governance and multidisciplinary problem solving.
